We are experiencing an unprecedented global pandemic. We are glued to the news like never before as the information about this COVID-19 outbreak changes not only daily, but sometimes hourly (see here for global stats).

On behalf of the other Board members, thank you for your patience as we diligently work and plan to not only keep a sense of calm in our community, but also work to maintain the physical and operational high standards that make our neighborhood a wonderful place to live in.

CURRENT UPDATES
a) We have learned from G4S that our gate attendants are classified, due to the nature of their work, as essential personnel; therefore, they will continue to man both of our gates (Avaron and Del Dios).

b) The Management office will remain open. Von & Katie will alternate to make sure the office remains open most of the day during the work week, to accommodate homeowner needs and requests. Their phone number is (858)381-5615.

c) Our landscapers are also taking necessary steps to work in our community safely. They have enhanced their maintenance protocols with additional cleaning and sanitary supplies and safety precautions.

d) Food deliveries to our community are allowed as usual (UberEats, Postmates, pizza delivery, Doordash, etc.); however, deliveries from grocery stores (Vons, Ralphs, etc.), will now be allowed seven (7) days a week, between the hours of 6am and 8pm. This is a relaxation of the Vendor- Hours Rule which prohibited vendor from entering the community on Sundays – this will help many homeowners who cannot travel to grocery stores to do their shopping. Please make sure though that you add their company names to your guest list.

The Board and management team are in continuous dialogue regarding what is mandated and what is prudent to keep our community safe. We seek counsel from many well-informed sources including news outlets, the County of SD, Keystone’s Executive team, and even security experts. Here are some of them:

Updates from the CA Governor’s Office

County of San Diego Updates

The World Health Organization

The American Red Cross

The Federal Trade Commission on the latest scams (please be watchful of these scams)

Lastly, our Governor’s Executive Order to all residents of the State of California, issued on March 21, 2020, can be found here.

The above links all proclaim the same message – that the best way to prevent the spread of this virus is to stay home, practice social distancing (6 feet) if you must venture outdoors, and to wash your hands; now all of us should know how to wash our hands – in that light, here is a brief video on the proper way to do just that!

We will continue to update the community with the latest important updates. We wish all of you well and look forward to the day when the threat of this virus will finally be behind us.

Thank you,

Mick Dannin
