We wanted to inform you that the southern California chapter of The Wildlife Society is planning to host a BioBlitz (citizen science) event at The Crosby Open Space on Saturday, February 22, 2020, starting at 9:00 a.m.

All are invited to participate in an easy hiking tour of The Crosby Open Space Preserve and help develop a Preserve species list. Event will conclude with a no-host lunch at Hernandez Hideaway Restaurant.

EVENT DETAILS:
• Easy hike, on and off trail, up to 3 miles round trip.
• Event specifics will be tailored to group’s interests at the start of the event, but may include checking wildlife cameras and coverboards for reptiles and amphibians.
• Both members and non-members are welcome! The event is free but advance registration is required.

• Please wear appropriate field clothing including closed toed shoes and bring water and snacks.
• There are no facilities on site.

Meet at 9am at the San Dieguito River Park – Santa Fe Valley Trailhead (8171 Del Dios Road 92127), behind Paradise Produce Market. Parking is limited so carpooling is encouraged.
